Chemistry & Uses
Uses in perfumery :
Neobutenone-Alpha® is a very powerful and high-impact green galbanum molecule. It distinguishes itself by fruity pineapple facets. It finds all its interest for reconstitution of galbanum or to bring a natural effect / stem undertones in floral, fruity formulations. In trace, it brings a bloom effect and/or a little 'dirty'.
The olfactive profile changes according to dosages: at 0.01% Floral effect, at 0.1% Green effect, at 1% Fruity effect.
Year of discovery :
Alpha-neobutenone® was first introduced on the market in GALBEX® 000183 (1974), a base which became incredibly successful as it offered a stable and powerful green note unavailable at the time.
